Call for Papers: Asian Law & Economics Association (AsLEA) 13th Annual Conference, 22nd – 23rd June 2017, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

The 13th Annual AsLEA Conference will be held on June 22 and 23, 2017, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. Those interested in presenting papers are invited to submit their drafts along with a short abstract by April 30, 2017.

We welcome submissions on topics in any areas of Law and Economics, although we encourage submissions dealing with questions that originate from Asia or are relevant to Asia today.

Submissions on traditional areas of Law and Economics as well as on new topics are welcome, and we will consider both theoretical and empirical research.

At the Conference, active and lively discussions are expected among paper presenters and other participants. There will also be intriguing keynote speeches by renowned scholars as well as workshops for empirical/econometric methodologies and for psychological/experimental methodologies.

The Asian Journal of Law and Economics, the official journal of the Asian Law and Economics Association, published by De Gruyter, is considering issuing a special issue from the conference proceedings and will welcome submissions. Please indicate at the submission if you want to be considered for the special issue.

Guideline for Contributors

  1. An abstract without a draft paper may be considered (although priority will be given to submissions with a draft paper).
  2. Include on the first page of your submission the following information: paper title, authors’ names and affiliations, and contact information including e-mail address for the corresponding author.
  3. If you are interested in publishing your conference paper in the Asian Journal of Law and Economics, please indicate your interest when you make your initial submission. The Asian Journal of Law and Economics is considering issuing a special issue from the conference proceedings and will welcome submissions.
  4. Submitted abstracts and/or draft papers will be posted on the Conference website and will be circulated on site. If you do not wish your abstracts and/or papers to be posted or circulated, please indicate this when you make your initial submission.
  5. Submissions should be sent, in PDF or MS Word format, to the following e-mail address: aslea2017ueh@gmail.com

  • There are no submission fees or registration fees for the Conference.
  • Conference materials will be provided free of charge for the registered participants. Lunches will also be provided.
