The Department of Research Administration and International Relations (RAIR) was established in 1976. The mission of RAIR is to implement and develop all research activities and the internationalizing strategy of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh city (UEH).

Since its establishment, the department has played an essential role in supporting UEH Schools to build international joint-degree programs successfully. Remarkable programs are Vietnam – Netherlands Program between UEH and Erasmus University of Rotterdam; CFVG Center, between UEH and eminent French universities; Fulbright Economics Teaching Program, between UEH and Harvard Kennedy School and more than 10 excellent joint-degree programs.

In 2016 and 2017, RAIR organized two successful international conferences: INFINITI and AsLEA conferences. INFINITI is an international conference on International Finance held annually by Trinity College Dublin (Ireland) and Monash University (Australia) and UEH is the first Vietnamese university to host this conference. AsLEA is the annual conference on Law and Economics established by the Asian Law and Economics Association. The two events created vivid environments for Vietnamese researchers to share and improve their working papers with prestigious researchers from all around the world.
